Below you will find a diagram of the quilt I am working on. I am about to start the quilting and I Plan on quiliting in the ditch around the "balls" and then quilting diagonaly though the blue blocks. Which do I start with the Diagnoal lines or the inthe ditch. I am thinking the diagnoal lines from corner to corner but is that corect?

I would do the ditch stitching first. No reason; just always do it this way.

I would do the ditch quilting first to stabilize the top. If you do the diagonal lines first you may distort the quilt.

I would do the ditch stitching, too!

Instead of the diagonal stitching, how about mimicing the stitching in a curve like on the baseball?

I usually start with the stitch in the ditch. It seems to stabilize my quilt better.
