Need help quilting this

I have sandwiched this quilt, but SITD won't work. Not confident in FMQ, and I want to do it myself, not paying someone else. I have used the serpentine stitch in straight lines horizontally, but I don't want to distract from the seashell. Any and all suggestions welcomed.

The link to the thread with the picture of the quilt is "this" that is different color in the OP post.

Believe it or not but SITD seems to be harder than folks think it would be. I can't stitch a straight line to save me life even when using a foot with a flange to keep me in the right directions. Something I did find easier and even fun to do is crosshatching, going from corner to corner. I realize your individual blocks are more rectangle but you could put 2 crosshatched patterns in those and it won't take away from your shell. You might try straight lines going down on the fabric surrounding your shell too.

Nice work on your quilt.

First, beautiful quilt. I would think it would look fabulous with concentric curved lines within the shell. And straight lines in the background. The background could definitely be done with the serpentine stitch.
