Hi. I am a beginner at quilting.
I am attempting to make a satin binding on a baby quilt (which is made of fleece and cheneille). I did this before on my first baby blanket for my neice. Now I am making a blanket for my new nephew, and can't seem to remember how I managed to accomplish this. I know it is possible, since I did it once (and it was very lovely!). My main questions, if anyone would be willing to help me out, are: 1) Where do I begin if I am attaching a seperate binding? (Mainly, is the binding the last step, after all the layers of the quilt are tied together?) 2) How?? And a general binding question: How do you do corners? |
The binding goes on last.
youtube has some great videos for mitering the corners. also, if you google something like "mitering quilt binding", you will probably get more info than you need. good luck with your project. |
Quilter's cache has a great step-by-step page explaining bindings here

Thanks for that link Moonpi....I couldnt for the life of me remember how to do the continuous bias binding! I must have done it a hundred times in the past but I guess my brain just needed a little kick start!
