Saw this yesterday while in town, no one knew pattern name. Does anyone know it and where instructions can be found? Thanks much.

Looks like 1/2 snowball blocks where only 2 corners have a sew & flip triangle. If you look closely, you can see that the triangle are different sizes. One looks to be about half the size of the patch, the other is smaller. Assume that each of the 4 blocks that make up the butterfly wing finish at 4". I'd make one triangle finish at 2" and one finishes at 1.5", with the body strip 1".

How sad!! that a quilt shop would have it hanging in their store, along with the fabrics, and not have the info for you. Perhaps call and speak directly with the owner/manager. Surely, someone in the shop must know, as it looks like it has even been made with the fabrics in the display. Totally a missed opportunity on their part ot sell the pattern.

Looks to me like "Butterfly Town", designed by Gail Abeloe and published by Brookshier Design Studio. [email protected] The pattern comes in 3 sized, baby (44" square), Lap (44" X 57") and Bed (57" X 83")

That's a lovely quilt! Paper Princess is right about the snowball blocks, so it should be pretty easy to do. Good luck!

I love that butterfly quilt especially the way they made it

I think PaperPrincess got it correct. Cute pattern. Fabric displayed is also cute. Some store owner is not on her toes. Samples are there to advertize and sell patterns !!!
