I know! I need to find a really quick pattern for some Jungle Minky Fabric for a baby quilt... Needs to be finished by Saturday noon!

Have 1 yard of Jungle animal fabric that's suppose to go with 1/4 yard of orange and 1/4 yard of brown Minky fabric..

Am I just crazy or can we actually get this made in that amount of time?

Oh yes.. the pale blue is synthetic flannel and soooo soft. I planned to use most of it for the backing, but could have some in the top, too.

Thanks ..... I just know you all can help me out here!

Turn the jungle print into a panel (36x30) then use the 1/4 yd cuts as borders? Or cut it all into squares to make a patchwork?

Border the jungle prints with the solids? if there is enough? Or make large strips across of jungle and alternate with smaller strips across of the solids? Hope that makes sense..

I'd just use the jungle print in - 10" strips and then do a 4 patch strip with the solids - as many strips as it takes to make the quilt the size you want it.

How about the ten minute block off of youtube? She shows a 10 inch block, so you would have to use a 9 inch block. You need 5 blocks, use 4 of the jungle then alternate the brown and orange minky for the center. Anyhoo, here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbTHlGGKMPM You can do it by Sat.

Thanks so very much for all your suggestions. I think the easiest for me will be laughinquilter's idea of 10" strips of jungle and a row 4 square blocks in between those. I've always liked that design in other's quilts.

Amazon's quick blocks tutorial idea is another that would be good for this, but I'm too scared to try it now since I'm in a big hurry to finish this.

As always, craftybear offered several suggestions, and I do appreciate all the help given to me.

Thanks everybody!

Do you need to use the orange and brown. I just somewhere seen a blankie that was cotton print on one side and minky on the other. There was a self binding that folded over. You could just use the print and the soft backing. Would make a nice blankie. Just gotta find that pattern

I'd use the print as a center panel then use the solids as borders. 3 colors? maybe a rail fence block bordering all around. Or half square triangles squared as borders. Or piano keys.
