Ok so I'm working in my eq7 program and want to make a rag quilt, but want to center a heart shape using the squares (which I'm sure will have to be half square triangles) used for some part of the heart...but I can't seem to do it...not very artistic for sure...the grid will be 8x8 so it is 50x50 startin out with 8" squares so they will finish at 6"...is this making any sense....

I went on line and searched heart quilts and found one I could sew with a few triangles to make the heart shape all the test were patches. I made it for a friends mother using his dark shirts for the heart and white and lite shirts for back ground. She loved it.

You could use this pattern, just make it smaller to be in the center of your quilt and build around it.

Or this suggestion:

Both are great suggestions and would work very well with the 6" "finished" blocks.
