My local hancocks was selling the Marie Osmond embroidery machine for 300.00 retails for 500.00 so I obught it,brought it home opended it up and there is no manuel cds of designs extra, all the extras that are listed on the box none of them are there.my main gripe is the manuel, does any one know where to get one? the manager said if I couldnt find one she would refund my money which they normally dont do on clearance items
So if anyone knows where I can get a manuel Id appreciated it,any one have this machine?

grammyp 10-30-2010 03:10 PM

I would contact Hancocks and see if they have the extras or can supply them. If they are not included you should have been told at the time of sale.

You can probably go to the website for the manufacturer of the machine and there will be a manual online there. Also, they would probably sell the manual. Also, have you tried e-bay? What company makes the machine for Marie Osmond? If it is like Brother.......then they would have the manual. PM me if I can be of help.

Pretty sure its janome

I would try contacting the manufacture and let them know that when you got the machine what was missing - maybe they can send you the items . Can't hurt to try

ArtisticDesign 10-30-2010 03:32 PM

Hmmm, That's strange...Does it say whats supposed to be included on the outside of the box?

EDIT: Never mind, I just reread your post and those Items are supposed to be included ( at least the manual of course, duhhh lol)... You might also try writing and or calling whoever is connected with Marie/machine herself... I don't think shed want her product to have a bad name at all...

sandpat 10-30-2010 03:35 PM

I'd contact the manufacturer...email them pics of the outside of the box and what is says is included. I would then also attach a pic of exactly what you got. If you can get it emailed to the right department..they should help you out for free. I've had very good luck emailing companies customer support teams. (it leaves a paper trail you know)

Exactly Sand, no one likes paper trails lol

wolph33 10-30-2010 03:43 PM

sounds like a used machine???? or demo????? you should get what it says on the box or the seller should have told you up front what was missing

alica1367 10-30-2010 04:15 PM

Contact Janome. They can probably get you the manual and even the cd.

azdesertrat 10-30-2010 04:24 PM

thanks for your help,I think the only thing to do is contact janome which cant happen til Monday,SO I will have to ask if she will still refund the money on Monday if I cant get the stuff that is suppose to come with it

littlehud 10-30-2010 06:35 PM

I hope you can get the extras that were supposed to be in there. Keep us posted.

mzsooz 10-30-2010 11:40 PM

Here are a few links to find manuals. Hopefully one of these have what you need. Sounds like contacting the manufacturer is the way to go. Especially to get the CD's too.

The seller should have told you what was NOT in the box for this special offer. No it's sold for the price you payed and they didn't tell you whats not in the box. In this way the seller must give you whats missing. You should get what it says on the box.

BevD 10-31-2010 01:01 AM

Yep, should have got everything that was on the box, doesn't matter if it was on special.
The manual should be available to download but maybe contact the vendor about the missing cd's.

quiltmaker 10-31-2010 03:10 AM

Personally I would take it back and get a refund unless they would guarantee they could get you the missing manual and CD's in a reasonable amount of time. If the other machine the store had didn't have them either....there would seem to me to be a problem with quality control.

exactly and thats why i called her and she said she would refund it because the items werent in there, even though they dont do refunds on clearance marked items

CarrieAnne 10-31-2010 09:32 AM

I think the seller should have let you know some stuff was missing!

sahm4605 10-31-2010 09:40 AM

I would defiantly call the company and let them know what is going on and see if you could get the items that are missing. and there should have been a note telling you things were missing. like a AS IS sign.

grannyp70 10-31-2010 09:41 AM

Hi go on line and you can get it there, they are not putting manuals in things anymore , you have to get them on line. Just type in the name of your machine and go to there website and the manual should be there for you to print off. Hope this helps. That is what I had to do when I get my new brother machine a while back.

azdesertrat 11-01-2010 07:39 AM

well here is the latest
and first let me say thanks to everyone for their help
I ended up returning the machine to Hancocks and had no problems getting my money refunded.
While I was there I talked to the manager of a bernina sewing center inside the hancocks'they actually do layaway for their machines, which is what Ive really wanted
so today Im going to put one on layaway

alica1367 11-01-2010 08:23 AM

I'm happy to hear it all turned out better for you. Now you'll have the one you really wanted. God is truely good.

Spring 11-01-2010 08:45 AM

My brother used to work at Kmart and when people returned stuff but left stuff like manual out of the box he would buy them from kmart for dirt cheap prices...then call the manufacturer and tell them he bought so and so and it was missing this...they would send him the missing parts for free 99% of the time other times he would have to pay shipping.

there are a few stores that you can take an item that you want, for example a sewing machine, they will hold it for you while, you make payments on it until it is paid off and then you can take the machine home. They usually give you only a certain amount of months to pay it off
