Red and Blue would look good. Also have used this fabric, and navy and rust look good with it. I love your quilt!!!!!

Oh, that's an idea! Thank you! Wonder how hard it will be to find a dalmatian like print!

Bug Fabrics has one here - go about halfway down the page, and then another about 3/4 down the page.
Alison Thanks for this link. Lots of very cute fabric at this site! |
Why not make a matching dog bed quilt for their dog? It doesn't have to have the panels, just use whatever colours you finish this quilt with including the window frame colours. OTOH, if you do have a leftover panel, you could put it in the center of the dog's quilt along with the dog's name. :)

Thank you! It's intended for my DS and DIL who have a dog instead of a child (though I'm still hoping!) I hope it doesn't end up in the dog's bed but if it does, oh well......

I would go with a narrow red boarder as a stop boarder. There is some red in the blocks. This is going to be a cute quilt.

I had an order for a quilt with the fabric only cats. I wish I had taken a picture of the whole quilt. Here is the block I used and then added the darker blue for the border.
I like your sashing. The pattern I found didn't have that. |
What about using a dog=themed fabric that picks up the colors of the windows?

i made a quilt out of this fabric for a friend's daughter. I bought red bandanas at Walmart and cut them and pieced them into a 1 1/2" wide inner border. Really turned out cute.
