A few ideas for you. I like this one.
https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/pe...ntrol-pad.aspx I like this one and it would be easy to make. https://sewing.craftgossip.com/tutor...at/2015/05/08/ This is the one I have and it works well. https://www.walmart.com/ip/NEEZ-EZ-S...lder/348205769 |
If your foot control is on a hard floor, like linoleum, wood or tile, command strips with Velcro, used to hang wall art, can be attached to the foot peddle and floor, will keep it in place.

I also have laminate, I bought an inexpensive bath mat that has the no skid stuff on the back. It has enough nap to hold the foot pedal so it doesn't slide around. I just shake it outside to get the threads off of it.

My vintage pedal I kept backwards, the case of the machine was back under the table and the foot pedal pushed to it.
I haven't developed the proper technique for my Bernina pedal, you would think it is so big and heavy that it wouldn't move but I have wood floors and it does, or maybe I kick it but I don't know how it gets where it does on its own... (hmm... maybe I hit it when I push my chair in under the desk) It has a feature where you can stop with needle up or down by a foot pedal tap and needs to be oriented correctly. I think I'll try some rug mat stuff. Yesterday I went over the floor with my strong magnet and picked up a pound or so of pins, bobbins, safety pins, and more. It didn't look (or feel) so bad, but the truth showed. Not foot pedal related, but when my vintage foot broke and Bernie was in the shop I was using a very low end Brother machine and I finally resorted to using blue tape and taping it to the table top, over the bed of the machine. The foot pedal was bad, but sewing was like chasing a loose dog the way the machine would move. |
I just put a piece of the spongy type shelf liner (with the little holes in it) under my foot pedal to keep it from moving. Works like a charm.

I use exactly the same product as BonnieJP. In fact, at one retreat, pedal sized pieces were in our goody bags.
|
I have a long heavy metal trivet in front of my pedal that sits up to the edge of the wall and the pedal rest against it. My pedal does not move. Just shows, however, just how crowded my sewing room is.

Because I'm short and have the same sliding problem, I took a brick look square gardern tile and put my pedal up on that. Works perfectly for me!
|
I put a piece of the non slip waffle weave stuff for rugs under mine and that stopped it right away. Even with my Nee's Ease petal holder it works perfectly.
|
I have tried just about everything and none worked.
I have it on a small foam backed piece and it slides anyway. I just pick it up every so often and put it where I need it. |
