Need Ideas for a Pattern

Making a queen size quilt for niece with these colors;
eggplant, apple green, and cream. What pattern would you suggest?

Could we have a picture of the fabric? Is it a single shade of each fabric or many varied shades?

Edited to add: How old is the niece and what are her interests? Can you add other colors to the ones you have listed or is that it?

I haven't bought the fabric. Looking for a pattern to buy for that. My niece is 24, recently married and these are the colors in her bedroom. They are moving to Alaska!

So you are wanting a pattern with just 3 fabrics? If so, a rail fence might look good? Or a carpenter's star? Could you get two shades of each color or maybe more. That might be fun. Just Take Five uses 5 fabrics....maybe one cream and two each of eggplant and apple green?

Lots of fun ideas will come to you, I am sure. Have fun with it.

Good ideas! I'm drawing a complete blank on what to do. Maybe once I go in the quilt shop inspiration will hit.

How about Warm Wishes?

A Dissappearing Hourglass done with batiks in those colours would be nice. You coukd buy a variety of dark fat quarters and tie them all together with the cream batik for the background. Use the search bar to see all the pictures posted on QB.

Do you have a "bucket List" of quilts you always wanted to make and haven't tried yet? Pick one of those and enjoy

It really depends on your ability. Warm Wish can make a stunning quilt. I usually change the focus fabric and cut it as 8.5" square. It is easy to put together. Good Luck!

Another vote for the Warm Wishes pattern.

Warm Wishes always makes a stunning quilt! Good decision.

You can even do it in just 3 fabrics, instead of the four the pattern calls for. I have done two that way. Let me see if I can find pictures...

I vote for "that pattern" you have wanted to try.

then again, when you get to the LQS, there is usually a wall or kiosk of patterns there, maybe one there will hit you.

If you have large prints that you do not want to cut up...try the BQ pattern by Maple Island...really fast and uses 3 fabrics. Tried to add photo but it didn't work...not sure how to do it here b/c I have never posted one. Good Luck!

You could use Jacob's Ladder, or Contrary Wife (this describes me a lot of the time - LOL), as I have made many, many quilts, placemats, table runners, and even a queen size quilt or two with both of these quilts. You could use the eggplant for the squares, apple green for the HST and cream for the background. The colors sound beautiful.
