Ok first let me start by stating I am a newbie quilter. I just came across this in my stash I have alot found in a gallon zip lock bag. each is cut 2 1/2" x 3"...now any ideas? the black and white looks like cow fabric

how about a ine patch??

Great find! Have fun!

Agree with the 9patch.

Since they're 2-1/3 x 3 (not square) - you'll have to watch which side you're sewing. If those are the only 2 fabrics on a 9patch, it might look like a big checkerboard.
You may want to add in another color, maybe even a solid white to separate the 9patches. |
How about a Bargello?
|
instructions for an easy bargello please? thanks

I think I would make a checkerboard. Easy enough.

If you decide on a 9 patch, I'd go through and cut them all to 2 1/2 X 2 1/2.. that way they will go together quickly and easily.
Another idea would be to make them into 4 patch blocks and then put a shashing between them as you sew the blocks together.. That would also be better if you squared them up first. Take a look at the 4 patch block quilts around.. they would all work find I would think! Good luck.. |
