After the holidays I plan on making a lap size quilt for an aunt who is in a wheelchair. Right now I have a brain freeze and can't think of a design or pattern I'd like to do for her, so I ask you, my fellow quilters for inspiration...

How about Yellow Brick Road? I think that's a really nice pattern, and it's fun to make.

I do a small quilt called Crazy Eights.

That's so funny, I just looked that pattern up, and the designer has my maiden name :)

How about using fabric designs - all kinds of stuff...in her favorite year - you can do all kinds of cool things...like TV shows or movies...I love lucy, appliances, cars of her teens, dresses she wore as a teen. furniture of her era. what was her favorite hobby?

Don't know what your aunt's mental state is but for my mother-in-law when she was in the nursing home and had dementia including a few pictures of the family (her childhood) on her quilt seemed to please her.
