I have been given some jelly roll strips.. maybe more than one roll... want to make a quilt out of them ... I have several in groups of three already sewn together, dark, medium and light... what can I do with them please... was going to cut wedges but thinking of the bias.... rail fence is out because every one of the strips is different colour and pattern... any suggestions please?

Joy measure how wide the 3 strips are..then cut into squares. Just sew them as blocks..one set of strips going up and down the others going across...they won't need to match like a rail fence does...
Look on youtube there are lots of different patterns on there.
Here is one for chinese coins..it might work for you.

look closely at the one she has on the table made with the strips..you would just need to add some solid squares for the centers. This is a really fast block!! I did a 10 min block quilt in a twin size for my secret sister at church and finished it in about 4 hours total..start to finish..including the machine quilting of it.

good luck...crafty_linda_b

what about the warm wishes quilt???

I will keep warm wishes in mind... will need to have the same material throughout for the blocks that go inbetween the strips....was hoping not to buy any more... good idea though...thank you.

Eleanor Burns calls this Twice as nice but in reality it makes three tops. It's the first thing I'm going to try.

Have you watched her http://www.quiltinaday.com/theater/library.html videos? There's easy ways to do a ton of quilts there.

This is another one I want to try.

Also Missouri Stars' "Summer in the Park" one, just do a search on Youtube.

LOL. I'm in Maine.

That's one I really liked too. She does so many quick and easy quilts, I really enjoy her videos. I'm going to start cutting strips this weekend so I can get started.
