Need some help friends! About 3 years ago, I bought 30 FQs and some yardage - all animal prints (snakeskin, giraffe, tiger, leopard, cheetah "skins" and then some cooprinating yardage that is jungle print (lions, tigers, etc-) and 2 other pieces of coordinating fabrics. At that time, I had found a pattern that used Jungle prints in the blocks and it was really nice (this is for a queen quilt for daughter in law).....Now, I have LOST THE PATTERN, and I need to start working on the quilt for her.........so I need a replacement pattern.......do not want one that takes advanced skills....anyone have any ideas? Sure could use the help! In advance, thanks for the help.

Nothing there that will work with this fabric.........other than a brick road one and I really did not want to do just rectangles........but THANKS for responding.

How about larger squares in the center, with the 'skins' fabric for borders or surrounding blocks? I'm not really good with elaborate patterns. I'm sure someone here will be able to help you.

Did you try Quilters Cache? There are hundreds of patterns there.

I have a disappearing 9-patch cut out with safari prints, blenders and 5" cat prints that were in a panel. I think it's going to look great, but haven't had a chance to sew it yet. I'll try to get a block done tomorrow and post a picture.

Maybe you could fussy cut your animals and do something similar?

Can you fussy cut 10" blocks of the jungle animals? Then just cut the animal skin prints into 3" strips and put two borders on each 10" square. Then just put them together into one large "block".

I made a Turning Twenty with jungle prints, king-size, and it turned out great.

I used these or at least very similiar fabrics in a scrappy rag quilt for a DIL. I cut 5 inch squares of the top and backing fabrics, 41/2 inch squares of batting, centered the batting on the wrong side of the backing squares, laid the top fabrics wrong side to batting and stitched straight lines from corner to corner so that each 5 inch sandwich was stitched with a large "X". Sewed squares together with backing fabrics facing each other. Quilt turned out very nice.
