Need pattern for baby boy quilt

Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone here can lead me to a pattern for some type of vehicles. Planes, cars, trucks, etc. I'd like something that could be made with primary solid colors. I was thinking maybe some of you have seen this type of pattern in your searches. Thanks.

I ordered the kit "Caterpillars" from McCall's Quick Quilts. It is perfect for a boy. It has primary colors. It has solid colors. It is in the August/September 2012 issue. Let me see if I can upload a picture of the pattern. Just a second.

I saw this the other other day when I was looking at the Keesake Quilting site. Sounds like what you are after- trucks & primary colors. Looks perfect for a boy.

I usually get a panel and then border it, or get a striking fabric and use it for a panel. Here's one of them. It's a simple quilt, but very colorful. It's made from a fabric, not a panel, that I got at Hancock's while I was in Ohio last summer,

Maryquilts.com has many free patterns. I've used the quick strippy pattern- 6 1/2" by width of fabric strips of truck fabric alternated with skinnier strips. Quick and easy, add borders if you need it wider/longer. I'm not sure if you're looking for patterns to piece vehicles

The fabrics you use are far more important than the pattern. That being said, a couple focus fabrics with Red/Yellow/blue rail fence pieces in the WARM WISHES pattern would certainly fit your bill.

Love how you framed your panel. Great idea!

There is a cute truck one in Fons & Porter Easy Quilts Fall 2012 called City Streets. Here is the link http://www.fonsandporter.com/articles/City_Streets

If you end up using one of the fabrics that have small vehicles on it, why not use black and white border stripes that double as roads for when the boy is old enough to lay on the quilt and run real vehicles over it during nap time or play time?

You can use Pictures from Children's Coloring Books Patterns for basics like balls, bats, trucks, cars, dogs and cats or other animals...to applique,,,,My Mother and I used the patterns for animals like snails, Fish, Sheep, dog etc. for an embroidered Quilt Squares then my Mom quilted around each subject in plain white.. but you could use any color... the Embroidery was just simple Chain Stitch outline ... Looked really nice when we finished it....

I am putting on the binding now. They also have pirates, tool bench and other cute patterns.

Sky Dreams by Country Quilter is my favorite baby quilt right now. The pattern has planes, stars and hearts on it, but I've changed colors and appliqués and just used it as a jumping off site to make a bunch of different quilts.
My phone won't let me post the photo, but here's a link to my qb photo: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...ne-t94878.html

I am not sure where I found this picture of a boy's quilt, but, I just love it and it is so simple shapes it wouldn't be too hard to make up. I keep thinking it was a free block site. Or maybe someone here posted it? Gee, I am sorry.

It's another pattern by Country Quilter called His Favorite Things.
I used to vend at quilt shows and my specialty was applique patterns. I still have a lot of them left over since the entry price is now $100 and up it doesn't make sense to vend any more. One of these days I willo put some of them here for sale. Some are from Parsons, Curiosity, Hahn, Sunset, Bee Creative, Pine Meadows, McKenna Ryan and Tony Whitney. I will have to go through them sooner rather than later. If you need one, let me know and Ill see if I have it!

Again, so many patterns can be converted to baby quilts----------IMO, really does depend more on the fabric than on the pattern for a boy
