How about square-in-a-square with the outer square being your backing fabric?

I didn't catch it, will this be all the fabric you use or will you buy more of the same designs?

All I could think of with what was in the pic that wasn't mentioned yet was to just cut the squares in thirds, then sew strips together, adding wide strips with additional coordinating fabric.
