They also gave directions on how to cook the potatoes in the microwave. I typed it up on card stock and included them when I gifted the potato bags. Be sure to use 100% cotton fabric, batting, and thread when making them http://www.potatobakingbag.com/site/?page_id=28 here is a link to the main website. http://www.warmcompany.com/warmtater.html |
I would advise not making or using one. Some have been known to catch fire and you really get a better baked potato if you bake it in the oven. I know it takes longer but in the microwave they are actually steamed and not truly baked. There have been quite a few bad reports about these potato bags recently.

Thanks for all your information. If I do make one, I will be sure to be careful.

I use an oven mit in the microwave that I have sewn velcro at the top. Works fine and has for years. I purchased at the $1 shop. I also sent one to college with both of my girls.

If you're wanting to bake a whole potato. Poke or slit with a knife. Then put between 2 paper plates. I do potatoes often in the micro wave. usually use a microwave safe dish like corning ware also.
