I got probably 5-6 yards of blue toile fabric at a fabric exchange, and I have had it for probably 2 years now. I need some ideas as what to do with it. Patterns??? Jan

I'll be following this topic. I also have some blue and white toile, not nearly as much as you, but I'm also at a loss as to what to do with it. I "inherited" mine from my daughter's ex-boyfriend's deceased mother ;-)

My SIL has beautiful little pillows made with toile fabric. I also might use it for a border on a small quilt or a backing. I used brown and white toile on the back of a baby quilt. It looked really good.

YOu know someone on another board asked this question and another lady gave this pattern suggestion: a ( BQ2 ) I do not have a link for it but it really is a nice quilt for a larger print.. may want to check it out. I just typed BQ2 quilt in tool bar... happy hunting with :) :) :)

Okay I am feeling really stupid here, so bear with me, but what is BQ@ and where is this tool bar I am supposed to be putting it into.
I am so embarrassed to ask this question. I would love to see the ideas tho. I am really stumped. Jan

When I made the quilt in the attached link - the original pattern called for a toile fabric where I have used the long colorful scrolls on black. Then you can keep your toile in large pieces. use subdued colors for the stars.

I am in the middle of a top using toile. It's called "forever blue". It uses the toile as the background and then a solid for the stars...2 alternating blocks, 2 colors. LOVE it! Of course, if any of you are totally stumped and not loving your toile, feel free to send it my way :) toile and paisley seem to be my greatest loves
