Here is a photo of the quilt panel that I was referring to.

I think I would add rows of snow flake blocks, bear's paws, or pieced leaves to the top and bottom to make it more square. It's very pretty!

I had a similar panel with eagle and trees. I added a row of peiced trees to top and bottom and flying geese also , I believe. I gave the quilt away and do not remember exactly without finding pic.
I like the idea of adding a row on top and bottom of something relating to picture, like snowflakes or bearpaws or trees.
