Hey all! I'm in the middle of making my Wagon Wheel block on the Underground Railroad quilt... and the instructions say to use 18-20 stitches per inch with an applique foot.
I have a Janome memory craft 4800 machine with the following feet: Blind hem foot hemmer foot overedge foot zipper foot zigzag foot satin stitch foot cording foot overcasting foot basting foot Can any of those be used as an applique foot?? Thanks!!! :D |
You can use either the zig zag or the satin stitch foot. I do prefer an open toe foot, but before I got one I used the zig zag foot.

I have a Janome MC6600P, and use either the satin stitch or open toe.
|
THANK YOU both!! :D

Just adding a quick 10 cents worth. I always use an open toe foot, clear plastic then I can get right to the edge of the patchwork and can see where I am going. I usually put it on a slightly slower speed as well.
Hope that helps. Good luck Elle |
The saitin stitch usually has a indent in the bottom to keep things moving smoothly :D
|
Thanks!! My wagon wheel is all done, now! :D
|
Why not use your walking foot and use a decorative stitch? GiGi :D :D
