Neat graphic, Snooze! If you don't have a computer guided longarm, I like the idea of an all over swirl design. Lovely top!

Beautiful quilt! I think swirls would be perfect on it!

Very pretty!!

I would want to quilt it so the secondary design stands out.

SITD around the all the colored squares and diamonds (large and small). Depending on the size of the large colored squares and the type of batting you are using, I might put a single circle inside that square.

If you want denser quilting that will make the colored squares REALLY stand out, finish by doing a small to medium meander in all the white areas.

OR you can do just the opposite and densely quilt (after SITD) all the colored areas and leave the white criss-cross un-quilted (except for the ditch work), and that will make the white stand out. I think this will highlight the secondary pattern the best.

Thanks everyone, for all your thoughtful suggestions. I'll have to mull it over for awhile. In this case though, simpler may have to be better as I intend to give the quilt to a nephew who is getting married on Oct. 10th!

I did my Jewel Box in an allover meander in variegated thread. Worked for me. Am I the only one who quilts the border separately? The border was wide loops.

Looks great with the black background!

Personally, when I quilt this style, I like to emphasize the lattice. After all, that is one of the reasons you were attracted to this pattern?

I would do something geometric and simple in order for the lovely colors and your fine piecing to stand out. I don't think I would overload it with circular patterns. (Just MHO, though, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Swirling sounds great. Quilt is dramatic, beautiful.

what about the swirl going thru the white areas and something round/swirl/flowery in the center squares? I always like to add curves to tops that are so angular. I think it adds interest. great colors.
