Just have to tell everyone about one of the best books I've ever had the pleasure to read. If you are in need of inspiration, this will do it. Each and every story is from the heart and brings goosebumps to your skin smiles to your face and the occassional tear to your eye. Nice little quilting tips and such in between these true quilting stories as well. If you haven't read this one...go to your local library and ask for it. I haven't found it at a bookstore yet...but believe me...I WILL. Just to have on hand for those sewing slumps we all experience from time to time. Not to mention, just how wonderful it is to read something POSITIVE in this day and age.

jbsstrawberry 07-23-2009 07:50 PM

It REALLY is awesome!! Such positive, touching stories!! You're gonna just love it Diana!!! I'm so glad you're getting it. Isn't that inter-library system fantastic!!! I'm hoping to be able to get one of Eleanor Burns books through ours soon. They're looking for it for me anyway.

MollieSue 07-24-2009 04:33 AM

Yes, it is really neat, that they have the inter-library loan! This is the first time I've ever really used it! It said the book would be sent 'when available', so I don't have any idea of when, so it'll be a nice surprise when it comes! :D

MollieSue 08-03-2009 02:01 PM

Just make sure to get them in order. I couldn't get into them at first for she talks too much spanish and for a country girl-deep rooted-I just had a hard time understanding them and the fact I didn't start at first w/book 1. So I started over after many, many months of not reading them...once I made it to 'Kansas Troubles' she had me hooked:)Go to: http://www.earlenefowler.com/books.htm check them out in order:)Skeat

MollieSue 08-04-2009 11:36 AM

Thanks, Skeat! I printed off the list, and will check them out at the library when I return this one! :D

I read the first one 'A Single Thread' but, haven't the second one. I wasn't sure if it actually followed from the first book....does it ? Liked the first one.

Oh, and JBS...I have the book here on my table from the library...have one ahead of it...looks really good!
