Need quilting suggestions please
I have the top together for In From the Cold. It's a freebie online pattern from Moda with 9 different coffee mugs and tea cups. Now how to quilt it? Of course, the directions are another of those "quilt and bind" things and the pattern doesn't show any quilting. I do not do meandering or stippling so could use ideas for either straight line machine quilting or hand quilting, please. Has anyone else done this pattern?

Ohhh! I hadn't gone back to the site and now have printed the instructions for making 1/2 size cups. Good designs to have for place mats to coordinate with the bigger piece! Thank you.

SID along the colored patches. A 1/4" outline of the cups inside and outside with wavy steam lines out the top. Cute pattern.

Sounds like you've got a couple of great suggestions to go by...cute pattern.

I need to see a picture of the entire quilt the picture looks like a table runner and not a full quilt.

Keep on going down the page. It's near the bottom. There's a link to download the pattern there. I looked at it and it appears to be a detailed pattern.

It's a great pattern. I didn't find any errors in the directions and it goes together easily. I haven't tried the smaller version pattern but the larger one was fun to piece. Don't you love it when they don't give you some hints as to what to do with the quilting though? Just "quilt and bind". For now I've done quilt in the ditch for the cups and still debating on the background. One thing about hand quilting, it's easy to take out, if you don't like it!
