Need quilting suggestions for a UFO

It is a quilt top made from the Barbara Brackman book called "Prairie Flowers: A year on the Plains".

I've had this made about 8 years and have never quilted it. I believe my skills may be up to it now (just started quilting this year) and since it is a quilt I'm keeping, it won't hurt if I make mistakes.

But I'm at a loss as what to do the individual blocks. I'm hoping you have some pictorial suggestions I can look at for a quilt that is done in this style. I'd google it for myself but don't know what you call the quilting that befits this type of quilt.

Here is a link to the book: http://www.amazon.com/Prairie-Flower...+on+the+plains

You can use this link to look at the blocks. you'll have to use the 'surprise me' button to get to them though.

Thanks in advance to those of you who take the time and trouble to give me suggestions.

Did you hand applique these? I bet it's a gorgeous quilt. First thing, of course, is to do an outline stitch around all the leaves, flowers, stems, etc. Then, I'd go with an echo of the outline a 1/4" around the outside of the motifs to set the applique apart from the background quilting. Then you could either cross-hatch or stipple to fill in the background. It looks like there are feathers in the half-triangles under the baskets.

It would help if you showed us a picture of your quilt ... seeing the cover of the book, doesn't really give us much of an idea as to what YOUR quilt is like!

I'm sure with a picture, there'll be lots of suggestions come forth.

I found a link to a quilt that was made from the pattern, is yours similar? http://quilterchic.com/?p=505

My apologies ... though that does not say that the OP made her quilt much the same.

A look at the link ThimbleBug provided and Google Images ... there are so many different finished looks. And with each, there would be different quilting possibilities ... that might be so inappropriate for the other ones.

yes, thimblebug6000, this is exactly the same quilt.
