Our baby (24 yr old) is getting married in Oct of this year and I wanted some part of the wedding to have something to do with my/our love of quilting. For our oldest daughter I did friendship blocks and had friends of hers at the bridal show sign them. That was a lot of work.. I was thinking there might be an idea out there with one of you wonderful quilters, that might be a little easier or simpler.... Maybe... let me know what you guys think...

Okay I was at a wedding and this was really neat. She had aquilt out on a table and it had awesome colors and little pieces of ribbon and yarn all over it. In a frame said say a prayer/blessing and tie a knot. I thought it was agreat idea! It said in the frame that the couple will always remember your love for all the knots...blah blah...it was awhile ago:)

I am not sure what kind of ideas you are looking for but here is a link for a quilt, if you scroll down the list on the right there is a video called "Love letters", it is sweet and simple and could be used for cards or notes for the wedding or any occasion afterward. Weddings are so exciting! Congrats!

Will she have a ring-bearer as part of the ceremony? You could make a very nice pillow for him to present the rings on. Make sure you attach to pieces of ribbon in the middle and secure the rings with a bow tie; easy to undo when nervous hands are jittery. :-)

Good Idea but there is no ring bearer at this wedding... but that is a great idea! THANKS! :) :) :)

At one of my husbands cousin's wedding she sewed small bags with a nine patch pattern in the colors of the wedding and filled them with confetti for each guest. When the bride and groom came out of the church they tossed the confetti.

OOOOWWWW, another great idea, Thanks for sharing, I will think about that one. Would probably fill with something other than confetti, that would not work out here on the ranch, bird seed and rice are out because of the varmits, like pocket gophers, skunks, rabbits, turkeys and raccons ( not to good to atract them to the old country church) such as that BUT, a goody bag of M & M's would work for the tables.... THANKS! :) :) :)

I sent out a picture of one of Kaffe Fassett's red quilts (the bride liked red) and asked the guests if they would like to send me .25 metre of any of the colours in the quilt. A friend and I put the quilt top together as a nine patch and I had it quilted. We had a wonderful evening before the wedding when we presented the quilt and gave the bride a book of "marriage advice" from the guests. It was great fun and the bride and groom were thrilled!!
