Hi! I purchased Rottweiler panels expecting each to be different. However, they are exactly the same. The pic itself is 12".

Should I use all 4 in the quilt? Would that look dopey? Should I use just one. It may get swallowed up in the quilt. I plan to do a ~54 x 74 size for a cancer patient.

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate your help. Yolanda Wood River

I don't see why it would be a problem. Most quilts that are made of blocks repeat the same block more than one time.

I think I would use all 4 panels and then build the quilt around that. This is a great opportunity to get those creative juices going. Keep us posted on your progress:)

Set them in the 4 corners. What pattern are you Doing?

Hi stitchofclass2,

The thought that came to mind was the quilts that are made that look fractured. I'm not sure what the exact title, name is for them. It might by Ricky Tims but really not sure. Maybe some other quilters here will know what I'm thinking of.

Another thought, make one into a wall hanging, one into a table topper, one into a pillow, and use one as a center medallion in a smaller quilt using other dog print fabrics or fabrics from matching colors.

Use all four. I don't think it will be a problem. As you say, one would get lost.

I don't have a pattern in mind yet. Just opened the panels. Any ideas? I think that I will try going with panels in the 4 corners and on from there. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Y

If using the blocks in the corner, I would use a block that draws the eye from corner to corner.
quilltercache.com has,
Four on the road,, star in cchain, jacobs string.
Country checkers,

Also the best friend & trees in the park,, would be cute. What better blocck names for a dog quillt.
Good luck, let us know what you pick.

Try the mystery quilt on the board. That had where you could use panels. It was nice too.

gal288 03-15-2011 04:34 PM

They are so perfect, are you going to use ONE?
