I am getting set to do some onesies for Miss Bella, who by the way is 5 months old now.

My issue is how in the heck do I embroider these on my machine. Is there a special stabilizer? Do I need a hoop and if so which size? I only have the 5 x 7 hoop.
Any info, help and recommendations for supplies is greatly appreciated.

If your hoop is to big to go inside the oneise then you will have to open up one side of the seem.
all of my machine came with 3 hoops
What type stabilizer do you have. you can use water solve or really any kind

I did mine with sticky paper stablizer. I just rolled the back down far enough that only the front stuck to the paper and when to town!

hhhmm, I don't think these have a seam. They are Gerber Baby onesies. But, I am not opposed to resewing them.

Use sticky paper and 'finesse' folding the onesie out of the way. Just make sure the part doesn't slip under the hoop.... Ask me how I know that one :)

Well upon further inspection.....lol

I did find the seams.lol.....So tonight I will take my trusty seam ripper to one seam on each of those onesies. We went to Joann's and I bought some self adhesive stabilizer.

My Bernina has a special small hoop for that type of thing, but opening the seam is an alternative. I do know that there is also a stabilizer by Sulky, that is very soft and iron on. I don't use it as much to stabilize as to iron on after the design is sewn out so that only the soft fabric is against the little ones skin.

Sulky has a stablizer for soft knits. I use this on back of design that is against the baby's skin.

I strongly suggest that once you manipulate the onesie into the frame...that you use scotch invisible tape to hold the parts of the onesie you don't want to stitch out of the way.
