I"m going to be making a photo/memory quilt for my GFIL. He has alzheimers and I thought it would be nice for him to have. I was wondering if any of you have done something similar. If you have do you have any pictures or links for inspiration? Thanks

Go to the top of this page and click on "search" then put in memory quilt or photo quilt. You will find lots of information and photos.:)

I'd consider a border of chenille. I've read that people with AD appreciate tactile fabrics.

Texture, texture, texture! And, sorry for the downer, but HURRY. Alzheimers patients can do down fast.

What a sweet project for you to make. Alzheimer’s patients enjoy different textures. So you could mix up corduroy, cotton, chenille, denim, etc. You could also add buttons (be sure to sew them on well.) You could even go a step further and add a zipper.

Some of them live for 20 years too.
