I hand quilt my quilts. Today as I was readying my quilt for binding I noticed where some of the blocks were pulled - I'm sure it's from where I smooth the top as I go - to make sure it does not pucker. I ended up squaring it as usual but it made some of the blocks not straight. I had no border and I know that'd solve my 'problem' but I dont' always put a border on - the Turning Twenty pattern in particular - this is a pattern I use alot. How do I make sure it does not happen next time? ? Thanks, in advance, for advice!

It may have happened when you did a final press to the top.

How do you baste your quilts? You might want to switch to spray basting, as that holds the layers together so that they do not shift while you are quilting.

It was not from the final pressing - it was fine as I quilted until the very last side... I baste it with pins - maybe I need to use more? I don't use too many - I'll try that... more pins! Thanks.
