need some "how to" help please

I purchased the Accuquilt 8" clam shell die on sale with the intent of making a quilt where they will look like fans. I have my fabric cut out, but the die packaging did not show how to put together the quilt that looks like clamshells in row after row (it instead had an alternative way of putting some with "fan" on top and the the next one had it on the side--kind of like an applecore quilt). So my question is bascially how to you sew a clamshell quilt so you don't have a bunch of Y seams? Hope this makes sense!

This might help you with them.

Here is a great how-to from Sue Daley, makes it look so simple, and you can either hand or machine applique the clamshells.

thank you So much--this was exactly what I was looking for--I had searched and searched the Accuquilt site and couldn't find this video--looks like I'll have lots of curved seams--hmm, wonder what I've let myself into!
