I'm doing a "Pay it forward" on Facebook. The deal is, I'm sending a hand made item to the first 5 people who replied to my post, they in turn post it themselves, and make something for their first 5 replies, and so on.

For my 5 people, I have four good ideas. One is an avid cook who happens to have a cute chili pepper apron, I'm making pot pinchers in a chili pepper fabric that I just happen to have on hand.

Another is a new sewist/quilter, who just got a new sewing machine, I'm going to make her a sewing machine cover.

The third is an Army Wife (like me), and I'm going to make her a paper pieced Ribbon block mug rug with the yellow "Support our Troops" ribbon and an appliquéd maple leaf (we're Canadian).

The fourth is a friend I've known my whole life (our mothers have been friends since they were teens) I was thinking a coffee cup cozy thing, since she's a big coffee drinker and is often at our local coffee shop. Anyone have a pattern for those?

I'm totally stuck for the last one, though! It's a man, and I have no idea what to make for him. NONE. I met him online, we've never met in person and I don't really "know" him well enough to just KNOW what would suit him and be useful to him! Any ideas, oh wise QB friends??

Thanks so much!!

Here's a coffee cozy pattern I saw when I when I was blog hopping:

I'll keep thinking about the man (lol) but hopefully someone will have an idea. I can't think of anything I could make that my dh would actually be able to use (unless it was a mug rug or something similar. Or a batch of fudge or something)

Thank you for the pattern! It looks perfect and I have everything I need for it!

Does this male friend have a nook or kindle, maybe a cover for one. Even a set of coasters or mug rugs.

Do you know what he does for work? hobby? sports?
could make a 'themed' pillowcase or pillow using fabric that fit him somehow.

Could this man use a quilted glasses case, for reading glasses or sunglasses even?

How about a trash bag for his car? The pillowcase is a good idea. Is there a sports team he likes?

Maybe a remote caddy? Or a mousepad?

That's a tough one....
