I was wondering if anyone had a quilt pattern suggestion for this quilt block. I'm making a quilt as a gift for my daughter's wedding. I bought 5 of these quilt block, picture on the block measures 7.5 x 7.5. I thought of using the five in a nine patch idea for the middle of the quilt but don't know what else to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It will be a queen size quilt.

If it was already posted and you are having difficulty locating the link, you can go to the top and click "my topics" and you will find the other responses. The fabric is gorgeous. I would probably put a border or two around each of the blocks to make them bigger as you are doing a queen sized.

Why not use the other two in coordinating pillowcases? Make sure you post pix when you are done. I would love to see it.

Have you ever done a 'round robin'? Your 9 patch would make a wonderful center & then you can add 'rounds' to make it the size you desire.

If you do a Search for 'round robins' you'll find lots of pictures for examples.

what type of block for the "rounds?

the rounds could blocks or borders - look at some samples for ideas

Are you looking for a traditional pattern, or something more modern? If modern is what you're after, I could see the pictures like tiles down the center of the quilt, surrounded by squares and rectangles of her favorite colors or the colors of their bedroom. Sort of abstract.

I can see them used as the alternate block with another block. Maybe something like a Lemoyne Star.

Five of the blocks will cover the corners and the middle blocks. I did a similar thing in My Edith Piaf Quilt and if you get some complementary fabric which can be used alternately it would work nicely. I understand your concern with the size of the blocks,but they can become larger by adding to them. Hope you find a pattern that works for you.
