Need Suggestions, please!

I started a baby girl rag quilt with 12 embroidered blocks and 2 polka dot light pinks for additional 4-patch blocks (total of 30 blocks). I was using a light pink fleece for the back. Unfortunately, I seem to have mis-figured the fleece for the back and ran out before I got it on all the blocks. I have gone to every store in the area and all have sold out of this color. I do have some white and some hot pink. Would it look terrible to use 2 colors for the backing (which will of course show on the front as well)? Has anyone had to do that? Would you use the white or the hot pink? Any suggestions or pics would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I like to piece my backings a bit. I think it makes it interesting!

Piecing the back of a quilt is very common. Here are some examples:

If you haven't sewn your blocks together yet, I would maybe alternate the colors on the back, or make them so there is some type of design - like a square inside a square, since the colors will show on the front.

I also usually piece my backs, with this being a rag quilt, I would want a design. HTH

by all means use the hot pink and/or white. As you said, it will show on the front too...if arranged in a nice pattern, it will look great no matter whether you use one or both of the colors you have!

Thank you for the responses!! It is nice to be encouraged when you think you have majorly messed up.

Yes, just make a design of any sort on the back. Same thing happened with me but I was using flannel.

I made rag quilts for all my children and did like the examples shown above except instead of a design, I did their initials.
