I loved the Thimbleberry colors. I have several Lynette Jensen's books. I pick out my own colors to make quilts. I agree the colors are more autumn colors.

Ah, I think this is the one! It's called The Shuffle and is a freebie. And another that's very similar is done by Jordan Fabrics called Balancing Act (also a freebie). The instructions use either a layer cake or fat quarters but I believe it will work with a little more care on my part using the strips in this inherited stash. Hope this info helps some others, too. Thanks for everyone's thoughts. Hadn't considered the Civil War projects until suggested here--if only the stash had some bigger pieces other than the 2 1/2" strips.
