Can someone lead me to a tutorial that shows/tells me how to square up a quilt top before attaching batting and backing? Please??

I don't square mine up until after it is quilted. The quilting can take it out of square :D:D:D

I don't quilt mine...I tie them. But the top is not square. So after yours are quilted how do you do it??

If you're pieces and blocks and rows are correct when putting together, shouldn't the quilt top be square (or rectangular).

At least that's how I do mine. If blocks are OFF it'll add up when connected to other blocks that are OFF.

Hi there, There is a person on youtube that does a good job, but she has a large space to do it on. I have tried it and some of mine are still off. I can't find it right now, but I am sure if you search for it, it will pop up.

Don't know if this is the type of answer you are looking for, but this is always where I start. For a square or rectangular quilt, if you lay the quilt out on the floor and measure the diagonals, the measurements should be the same. If I am way off in the diagonals, I then accurately measure all 4 sides (op sides should be equal). Then trim as needed (I make my border a wee bit larger than I nee just in case I need to do this)..

I square mine up after it is quilted...when I am cutting the extra backing and batting off so I can put the binding on.
