Need a web sight

Can anyone give me a web sight, or 2 on posting quilt blocks on point. I had the directions, but can't find them now. My block size is 11 x 11'' sq. Maybe someone can give me what size triangles to cut for my corner triangles, and the side triangles. Don-isewman

Here are some to get you started.

I always cut those triangles over-sized, sew, and then trim down to size. It is a lot easier for me to achieve accuracy this way.

I have learned the hard way and now do the same over-do just like Prism99 - it sure is nice to always have accurate squares made up of triangles to start with...am a'learning this quilting thing. Thanks, Prism99

I also follow the quiltville link. At the bottom of the chart is a note on how to oversize them. Works great. Easy with her instructions.

Jan, thank you for your wonderful hints and diagrams. I have only done one quilt on point which luckily I had a pattern for. : )

Thanks Jan. That is a very good illustration. I just finished doing that with 13 blocks. Yes, you can put 13 blocks into a quilt if you put them on point.

I cut my triangles a little larger, too. (Much better too big than even a little too small.) Then I took my ruler and measured from point to point and cut the edge off at 1/2 inch from the points. After putting on the border, my blocks "floated" by 1/4 inch. It looks wonderful. Better a float than a chopped off point.

Jan thank you so much. Have printed this off and pinned it to my memo board. Why too many fractions on the quiltville site.
