It's amazing. I have seen a picture several times of this one Wreath pattern done in Christmas colors, and thought I would be able to find it again easily.
But I have looked and looked, on this Board, and on my computer, at the various online fabric/quilting shops, and I just can't find it anywhere. I'm hoping someone here will be able to find it. The problem is, I'm not sure how to describe it. I believe it is a table topper or wall hanging rather than a full size quilt. It is pieced, patchwork. It is not a log cabin. It is not appliqué. It has no HST that I can remember seeing. I know I'm asking a lot, but could you guys post here any pictures you think might fit this description? And I'll keep looking. I really want to make this little quilt. Now that I can't find it any more.       :!: |
I think I know the link, let me post it so you can look at it

I this it? The twister wreath? |

You guys are so quick, and so good!
No, it is not the Twister pattern. It might be more of a sort of jelly roll friendly quilt I'm thinking, I'm not sure, but it is made of narrow strips not squares. I'll keep looking. And thanks so much, I hope someone thinks of it! I'm looking back through all my emails too just in case, but I know for sure I've seen it on here. . |
Could you be thinking of Ann Lauer's "Wreath for All Seasons" pattern? (I've seen it but don't own it.) Check it out at <www.GrizzleyGulchGallery.com>.

I like the center ideas I am hearing for these wreaths! I have a magic pinwheel one ready to put on my quilt frame & keep thinking about how to add a little decor around it, like the center & the background. The Santa in the middle sounds neat & I like the center in the photo of the post just before mine here. Nice work everyone!

Your fabrics are gorgeous! I think the thing is the variety of greens. Its a great way to use up some stash. Silly me thought that a lot of Xmas fabrics would be on sale in January. HA! "THEY" put them away till next year!
|
Say, can you look on the pattern and see who the designer is, just out of curiosity?
I'll have to go thru my green stash and see what will go with. When this is done I think it will be one of my favorites. . |

I see where this pattern is from Quiltmaker magazine. Was the pattern in the magazine? Or did you have to order the pattern?
OH! You already mentioned that before I looked! Thanks. I found a version of this quilt done in red/white/blue to commemorate 9/11, and it says the pattern was published in "Quiltmaker 74-76." Book is "America from the heart: Quilters Remember September 11, 2001" By Karey Bresenhan and link is at http://books.google.com/books?id=w4a...page&q&f=false . |
I know you found the one you were looking for, but, I have a really cute one using the dresden plate for your wreath..I belive the pattern is in E.Burns' Egg Money Quilts book.
|
Thanks, I love the Dresden plates too!
