Need your help again
I have been in a block exchange over the past year, and have only 1 block left to acquire. So now I need to think about how I am going to put this together. The problem is, 1 block is 18 inches square. I have been putting them up on my wall, to see how they are going to look together, which I am not really pleased with. So, I tried putting them up on point and don't ask me why, but I like that visual. But the problem is that the triangles that would be at the edges are VERY big, and I am wondering how to inset a smaller block in that triangle. I hope you understand what I am asking. Any help that anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Could you make a square that would fit inside the triangle? Two of the square's sides would be the triangles sides.

I like Tesspug's idea.
You might play with different ways of piecing fabric to fill the spots. |

Here's another graphic to help.
Make the triangles from squares large enough to allow their connecting edges to overlap, as shown on the graph with dashed lines. Jan in VA |
