My DH said go ahead buy it (the Baileys $3400 that is) but me being money conscious think well if I could get away with buying something cheaper the Grace GMQ Pro system for about $2500...
So who uses the Grace GMQ Pro? Do you like it? Does it meet your needs? What don't you like about it? I had another thread asking about the Baileys and the women all seemed to love it so I am leaning toward that but only because I have heard nothing about the Grace. |
I'll be interested in seeing the responses here. I was so close to getting an HQ 16 sitdown system just a week ago but have decided to practice more on my regular machine before I make the plunge.

Check out the depth of the throat. Bailey is 17 inches, if the Grace GMQ is shorter, skip it. You would out grow it very fast.
The thing with the throat space is: When you roll the quilt it takes up space in the 'throat' of the machine which in turn makes a smaller area you can quilt. I use a domestic machine on a table top frame. When I get to the end of the quilt I only have 1.5 inches of quilting space, but when I start I have about 3.5 inches. That is what gets all of us quilters.... |
THANK YOU! I will spend the extra money and get the Bailey 17 inch machine.

I have a Grace with my Juki on it and I love it. But I'm saving my pennys to get a Bailey. I would love to have the extra space when I quilt.

my 15" Bailey is on the GMQ Pro frame and I really like it, no dislikes
