I want to put a picture on this quilt, the one as my avatar, it was a gift for my boss who has since passed away, so her daughter is keeping it, but the pic i had on there faded away, i would like to put it back, but is there a way to make a clear pocket that is washable so she can take the pics out when she washes the quilt. Thank you in advance, i have faith that one of you wonderful quilters will have an idea for me. Denise

This is a toughy. Will the quilt be used or displayed? I'm thinking print the photo on a piece of fabric, then back it with iron on batting and a backing. Then bind the square, and add button holes and put buttons on the quilt. She can unbutton the square when it's laundered. Need to put buttons every 2 or 3 inches so that it's not flapping around. If it's going to be displayed, then you might have more options. I'm curious to see other suggestions. Oh, I just noticed that we are neighbors, well sort of, at least I know where Burton is...
