I bought the fabric to make a Halloween-themed quilt for a friend of mine, who just happens to LOVE that time of year.

Here is the fabric http://www.fatquartershop.com/store/...64&Parent_Ids=

I have been looking through patterns and different ideas for the top - I don't know what to pick! I wanted to pick your brains for ideas - something that will keep the fun patterns in the fabrics visible - without chopping it up too much.

All ideas/suggestions are appreciated!

Thank you!

I can see the picture ones as center panels surrounded by a log cabin variation. You could cut the log strips uneven or sew them to look wonky. What fun fabric.

One is pictured as a panel, so I would leave that one whole, and work around that ? But I just know someone here on the board will give you the perfect pattern  Or after you get it , you will know more what to do. But do keep us posted

I'd Yellow Brick Road the fabric.
You can CHOOSE which fabric for the bigger blocks on it.
I think it's cute fabric.

I did a Halloween quilt a few years ago and used the "Yellow Brick Road" Pattern turned out real cute. Good luck! :D

I like the wonkey log cabin idea.

We saw a cute quilt at a shop yesterday, it was just rectangles about 3"x 6" with black sashings, very effective and would showcase these fabrics, even if you went with an orange sashing.

Thanks for the ideas so far! Excellent!

It must be a sign...I looked in my pattern stash and found the "Yellow Brick Road" pattern. I'm going to check that one out, as well as a log cabin pattern. May need to get another pack of fat quarters for this quilt! :)

A couple of those fabrics would make perfect fussy cuts for the center of a square.

I love that fabric -- but no new ideas on what pattern to use!!

First of all, let me say that the fabric is just too cute ...... especially for someone who is big into Halloween.

Now, what I would probably do is the Warm Wishes pattern, where you could use the larger patterned fabric for the squares and the coordinating fabric for your strips that "frame"the squares.
