needing advice, please

My daughter requested a big long table runner for their table......I think I have done that ... keeping in mind that I can not FM with a sewing machine but can echo or SID, my question is which should I do and which colour should I use.....with thanks....Patty

Very Pretty. I think that I would echo every block into the pink, blue and even into the borders. Echoing adds a new pattern and adds depth. I think the blue would be a great choice of thread color to add the new dimension. Again it's very pretty, you did a great job, I'm sure your daughter will love it.

Very pretty! You could SITD but I might do a crosshatch instead. You could use the square corners to quilt the grids. It would add nice texture but still be easy. I would match the thread to the top and the backing fabric.

I agree with Tartan. But whatever you do it will be beautiful.

Yep, I would go with diagonal lines. Corner to corner of each block. It's very pretty by the way.

Another vote for diagonals. I'd probably use a medium grey thread which would blend with both fabrics and not call attention to itself.

I also think diagonal lines would be best.

thank you so much....diagonal lines I can do and medium gray thread I have lots of. This is the best place to get help !!!

I agree, I think diagonal linews would be really a good way.

I vote for echoing!

Diagonal. But I'm getting partial to varigated thread. It might add a subtle zip.

I agree. That runner just says crosshatch to me.

Very pretty! I would SID

Very nice.

I love crosshatching. And it's fairly easy to do.

I might use a variegated blue thread, sometimes you can find threads with both blue and pink, but I personally like using variegated thread, gives it a little pizzaz. I would simply do a cross hatch pattern going corner to corner in two directions so there remains an "X" in the middle of each square. Love your fabrics and colors.

I'd go for diagonals for a very long runner.

Definitely diagonal quilting, it is so classic!!
