I was sewing today and my needle dropped in the middle of sewing. Any one who has this machine ever have that happen?

Yes, and I learned that just turning the needle clamp finger tight might not be enough, the vibrations when sewing can cause it to get loose. I always give the clamp a gentle turn with the screwdriver just to be safe.

Yes, but only while quilting. Pushing the quilt roll through the throat seemed to loosen the screw. I make sure to give it a firm turn with the screwdriver.

I've had the same thing happen on my old Janome and it's because I forgot to give it the tightness with a screwdriver

I've had it happen on both my Bernina and my Pfaff when using the walking foot. I have since learned that when using that foot to regularly check and make sure that the needle screw is tight!!!

I always use my screwdriver when changing needles or replacing the shank. A gentle nudge is all that's needed. Haven't dropped a needle yet.

Happened to me once in 3 years, I put it down to the fact I hadnt tightened enough - never had another problem so far.

My Pfaff did that and it was user error. I hadn't tightened it with my screwdriver.
