So I mentioned before I broke my last needle. Thing is, I'm a quilting newbie so I've never had to buy needles before (that one was one of two my MIL gave me).

So I have a couple questions...

I have a Singer Futura II sewing machine - do I have to buy a certain kind or brand of needle? What size is good for piecing and quilting? Any ideas where you can get the best deal?

I like the Schmetz 80/12 for piecing, 90/14 for machine quilting, you can pick them up at your local quilt shop.

And those will work okay with my singer? Looking at them on JoAnn's website right now.
