Cut your jeans into squares and pieces BEFORE washing!! Jeans were clean, but I always wash them again when I get them. I've spent the last 2 hours with a total mess. Balls and knots of string all tied together in lumps. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I don't know what I was thinking. Maybe I was so excited to find my scissors (another story), I just started cutting and into the wash they went.

Never again!

Well...we all live and learn--from each other! I once (and only once) froze bananas with the peel still on...

quiltluvr 09-12-2010 11:20 AM

Well, you could say it was "pre-ragged".................

I feel for ya'!

raptureready 09-12-2010 11:20 AM

Don't worry, it only happens once. LOL

There are some lessons that we thankfully have to learn only once.

SueDor 09-12-2010 11:53 AM

Well you won't do that again.

Twisted Quilter 09-12-2010 11:56 AM

Not a chance! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Quilt4u 09-12-2010 12:01 PM

Been there done that. Next time wash by hand in salad spinner and press dry.

Just didn't want the extra vitamins in my smoothies
Really hard to get the peel off once they're frozen...

It's never occurred to me that you CAN freeze bananas, don't they go black?

Only if you freeze them with the peel on (if I remember correctly). I freeze them all the time without the peel and stay the same color. Great for smoothies and banana bread.

I'm so sorry but I am lmbo because I can see the mess in my mind. Jeans are the worst for unraveling when washed that's why they make such nice rag quilts.

When you freeze bananas with the peel on the peel turns black and the banana stays white. Haven't ever had trouble peeling them....wonder what the difference is???

It was mentioned that some have trouble peeling the frozen bananas and I have never had that problem so I was wondering what the difference was.

Oh! I think that the peel was too thin for my fat fingers--that's the only difference! I ended up with banana mush all over my fingers!
