New Diamond Deluxe and 5D Professional

Just bit the bullet and bought a floor model diamond deluxe. It only had a
little over an hour of stich time and came with full warranty. It also came
with free 5D professional software. We had been considering the Ruby and then
5D extra. When it came down to it the difference was about $1000 and we got
much more software. Just could not pass up the deal. Total cost $7500.

We had an old Designer I with the old floppy drive. The machine has worked
fantastic but it was just time to upgrade the machine and software. My wife is
very frugal and did not want to pop for the extra $1000 but I just loved the
bigger screen and buttons of the diamond. Plus the extra software really sold
me. She made one statement that sealed the deal for me. She said that this is
the last machine we are going to buy for a very long time. Well that did it.
Spend the extra bucks now and have a machine with a much better screen and feel
for many years.

Looking forward for playing with all of the cool new software and stitching
away. BTW we kept our old Designer I as a second machine and for the kids to
borrow. They weren't going to give us much of anything on trade anyway. Just
wanted to share the news with someone who might appreciate it.

I have the diamond (not the deluxe) and LOVE it. I agree on the lack of trade in, I now have a Designer I (floppy), an SE and the diamond. I love being able to embroider on one, while sewing on the other!!! Have fun.

Nice! Have fun stitching. I also have a designer 1 and love it. I have to admit though I really have been having a huge case of hoop envy lately. But with my DH just getting a new hobby, hunting, all the money is pouring in that direction. Man who would have thought deer meat cost so much??? Kobe beef has NOTHING on deer LOL
