New Grace Q-Zone-Hoop-Frame
Has anyone bought this quilting frame or something similar. If so, what do you think about it?

Is this the same thing?https://www.quiltingboard.com/links-...e-t298676.html

I was thinking of this frame too. I don't want a big mess of equipment to deal with if I bought a LA set up. It's not expensive and the sale price makes it very affordable. I paid much more for my new sleeper sofa that probably won't be used but once a year. LOL I have a Brother 1500 that I used on a bigger frame and it worked fine with the throat space I had. I did edge to edge with no problems.

I ordered the Grace Luminess Light Bar at Sewing Machines Plus for $299 regularly $449. I got it for my cutting table. I am thinking of getting the 10 ft for my design wall instead of having track lighting installed. I can move the light bar around to other areas and it is adjustable to smaller size.

I'm contemplating which one to get. It seems small, but it says you can do any size quilt.

I'm guessing you would still need to baste the quilt sandwich before putting on the frame? It is very interesting!

I found one on eBay and it's cheaper than what the manufacturer is offering right now...I think I'm going to get it. I made an offer and I have 48 hours to think it over.
I was going to get a package, but I think I'll come out cheaper if I can find stuff on sale and piecemeal it. I really want the Juki machine I've been drooling over for a couple of months now, but I can't decide between it and the Brother my mom has been eyeing. |

The quilt is not basted. It is pinned to a leader before loading on the frame that has a coil so the quilt can be rolled. Then quilted end to end before rolling up and advancing. More work but that's because the frame only 4 1/2 ft long which is why most want it.

A guild member has this frame. She doesn't baste her quilts. She said rehooping is fast once you get the hang of it. She did say the leader fabric with coil makes it easy to roll the quilt. I think that is a separate purchase.
