New Idea for Jelly Roll quilt????

Just received and looked through Keepsake Quilter catalog and found a pic offering pattern for 2 1/2"strip quilt, but in pic shows narrow rectangles of fabric added between strips occasionally.....gives it a bit of a different look.....hmm, I have a few jelly rolls on shelf.....and many straps for those little rectangles....may try one. Has anyone done this...it may be an old idea, but I just saw it.....

I also received my catalog yesterday. I looked through it briefly but had to stop as i was drooling too much over all of the beautiful fabrics and patterns, lol. I could spend a small fortune!

I have seen several like that. It is a common variation on the Jelly Roll 1600. Lots of little changes you can make for a big impact. Have fun with it! I like the 6" "bricks" in them myself.
