I have not bought fabric in a while until recently and am amazed at how wide they are making selvages these days. What is the point of a 1" wide selveage except to make us buy more fabric because we are not getting what we pay for. |
Selvedge strips are useful for all sorts of projects. I never throw them out.

I saw this on some site yesterday. They made a log cabin block from the selvage. It was cute.

I have a large paper bag of selvedges and have never done anything with them.
