New little "quilt"
Slightly disappointed the little quilt I purchased this morning from the local thrift store became a pillow sham in the washer and dryer. It was rolled up and tagged as a little quilt. I popped it into the washer and dryer. When it came out of the dryer it was inside out and a pillow sham. You know those kind sold really cheap.
but still not too bad for $2.00 |
well for goodness sakes. I guess you needed a nice pillow sham, didn't you? there is a reason in everything.

Oh no, bummer!!

If you don't need a sham, recycle. It could become a tote bag or a table runner.

You get what you pay for!

Now you have a cheap pattern! Make a little quilt of your own

I often buy such "shams" at thrift stores to deconstruct and/or reuse in making blocks. Sometimes I sew them back in their original design or just resew the seams to make sure they are good. 4-6 of these sewn together make a nice quilt top of a sampler style.

I got 2 of these Shams for 25 cents each at yard sale just the right size for my dog to lay on... and they wash up really nice...

I have used a quilted pillow sham as a dresser scarf for years. It is a pretty pattern, nicely made, fits perfectly, and looks really nice on my dresser.
